In 1990, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard started its recycling program by creating methods and processes that enable workers to safely inactivate the nuclear reactors in ships, dispose of nuclear wastes, and recycle metals and structures of old ships.

How Do People Contract Mesothelioma?

It has been reported that asbestos fibers attach to clothes and can be inhaled or swallowed by family members of a shipyard worker.
